The Pepease Kyidom Mma Association was founded in Chicago in November, 1992 and was registered with the State of Illinois. The association subsequently obtained its non-profit status in 2002. It was founded out of the Kyidom Mma Association based at Accra and Pepease in Ghana. Pepease Kyidom Mma Association was born in Chicago with the spirit of "communal giving" when word reached Chicago that the clinic/Kwahu Rural Health Post was at its worst stage. The building needed to be restructured. At the same time, the only senior secondary school in town needed funds to complete some of its classrooms and boarding house for the students. A group of long time Pepease-born-Chicago residents met and decided to form a branch of the Kyidom Mma Association in Chicago to help unite Pepease citizens and all like minded to help develop Pepease. Through the spirit of giving, each member who attended the first meeting decided to donate certain amount of money to help sustain the restructuring of the clinic and St Dominic Senior Secondary School. The clinic and St. Dominic Senior Secondary School serves tenths of villages around Pepease district which by chance many have to walk long distances to reach due to poor and unconstructed roads.

The organization seeks to promote a good relationship between the citizens of Pepease in Chicago and other ethnic groups in the United States of America and Ghana as whole. Because the development of Pepease and its citizens everywhere in the world, tourism, health, education, agricultural development, computer technology knowledge, cooperative farming, cooperative banking (SUSU) and scientific reasons this organization will be embarking on fundraising and solicitation of funds through our website to help with most of our projects at home and here in the United States.
